Line-up of speakers announced for Global Wellness Tourism Congress

The first-ever Global Conference on Wellness Tourism scheduled to be held at New Delhi, India on October 5, 2013 has announced a high-profile speaker line-up. The Congress will feature experts from the tourism industry who will be welcomed by Dr. K. Chiranjeevi, Minister of State for Tourism Ministry, Government of India.

The confirmed Congress speakers include names likeAndrew Gibson, Group Director Spas, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, and Susie Ellis, President and CEO of GSWS for the Congress co-chairs. The Morning Session includes Jean-Claude Baumgarten, one of world’s leading tourism experts and past President and CEO of the WTTC.

The Morning Session also includes Amitabh Kant, wellness tourism visionary and the current CEO and managing director of the Delhi – Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation.Ophelia Yeung, Co-Director at global research firm SRI International, is also among one of the names confirmed for the Morning Session.

Speakers confirmed for the Afternoon Session include Curtis Schroeder, former CEO of Thailand’s Bumrungrad Hospital and current CEO of Intermedika; Dr. Mariela de Oliveira Silveira, one of  the Board of Directors, Kurotel Medical Center for Longevity and Spa and Josef Woodman, founder and CEO of Patients Beyond Borders. The Congress will be concluded with a facilitated session where all the participants will collaboratively synthesize a more global plan for the future of wellness tourism industry.
