To take advantage of the fast-growing Asian medical tourism industry, TAITRA is working with travel agencies and more than 50 respected medical institutions, including Veterans General, Shin Kong, Cathay, Mackay and Taipei Medical University, to develop key target markets such as Japan, America, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China. In addition, TAITRA strives to encourage foreign visitors to travel to Taiwan for treatment, health checkups or cosmetic surgery. Taiwanese healthcare brands will be used to market the overall Taiwanese healthcare industry and build up an international reputation in order to attract foreign medical tourists.
