Indian Medical Tourism Story reaches new heights in Africa through the IMTD 2012 Kenya & Tanzania

Presenting the IMTD – Indian Medical Tourism Destination 2012 Kenya and Tanzania to be held on the 26-31 August organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and co-organized by Trident Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd

.IMTD : India Medical Tourism Destination is a conference and exhibition show, the first of its kind in India, which is solely dedicated to increasing the impact of the Indian Healthcare Industry across the world. The Exhibition and Conference is in its third year and has already made a mark successfully in countries like Canada, Kenya, Oman and Kuwait during the course of the last three years. The niche event has already brought together regional government and the medical and private healthcare sectors to develop business contacts and establish new partnerships and investment. Providing significant opportunities for international hospitals, medical tourism facilitators and tour and travel agents, IMTD has provided a unique platform for these institutions to take India a step further on the international level.

With participating Hospitals like , Fortis, Medanta, Asian Heart Institute, Apollo Hospitals, Manipal Hospitals, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Kerala institute of Medical sciences, Seven Hills Hospital, Global Hospital to name a few, the event will attract all the medical stakeholders of Kenya and Tanzania.

Nationally accredited Hospitals ranging from a number of 30-40. There would be also Medical Tourism facilitators, people who can guide the patient better in accommodation, food preferences, arranging consultation with doctors, providing translators and other secondary help, yoga (traditional medicine) therapists from 5-6, individual doctors 2-3, with accredited hospitals dominating the exhibit. Holistic health organizations , Ministry of Commerce bodies, and export promotion councils also have been a part of IMTD.  There has been by far participation of over a 100 hospitals in all the IMTD shows so far out of which there were 10-15 medical tourism facilitators, participation from government bodies like Department of AYUSH, Surgical Tourism Canada and the Services Export Promotion Council to name a few.

The event will draw the attention of the whole medical fraternity of Kenya and Tanzania thus adding to the ever burgeoning medical tourism industry which is expected to reach $ 2 billion by the end of this fiscal year. The event isbeing organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Trident Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd.
A platform and an opportunity to patriotically contribute and make India the next Healthcare and thus the next tourist Destination. IMTD 2012: Celebrating 65 years of Indian Independence.
