In order to promote heath tourism in the state, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with the support of the state government, will organise Kerala Health Tourism-2013, an international conference and exhibition here, beginning on October 31.
The three-day event will be held at Hotel Le Meridian and its major aim is to create awareness and getting the stakeholders together to promote Kerala as a preferred destination for health tourism. The exhibition will be open to the public on November 1 and 2.
KHT-2013 will highlight emerging trends, opportunities and challenges in the Indian health tourism arena and discuss preparedness of Indian hospitals and will be a congregation of major health hospitals, insurance companies and policy-makers.
Coinciding with KHT-2013, the CII will also organise a focused exhibition on medical equipment — MediEquip-2013 — to showcase hospital needs and medical equipment companies.
