Thailand is considered a nation with an all-round foundation for medical services of top quality, which has pushed it to become a medical hub.
The quality of the Thai medical services, high technology, and health recommendations have been recognized worldwide. It tops the rank of medical tourism in the world, with over 1.5million people traveling to Thailand for medical tourism each year, bringing in 41 billion baht per year.
Thailand is also the center of the region in organizing medical showcasing events and preparations in anticipation of the coming ASEAN Community. Medical institutions and organizations have joined hands to organize the Medical Fair Thailand 2013.
The fair, the largest in the ASEAN region, will showcase medical technology and international products from over 300 leading businesses from 30 different countries. It is expected to help propelling Thailand to become the medical hub of ASEAN.
The press conference for the fair was officially held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, on August 15, 2013
