Mashhad’s Razavi Hospital receives intl. recognition

The 4th Conference on Health Tourism in Islamic Countries has started in the city of Mashhad northeast of Iran. The event is hosted Mashhad’s Razavi Hospital. Health and government officials from over fifty countries such as Lebanon, Malaysia, Iraq and Algeria came to attend this 2-day conference. Health Tourism is patient movement from highly developed nations to other areas of the world for medical care, usually to find treatment at a lower cost. Tuesday Razavi Hospital received the Accreditation Canada International (ACI) platinum level award for sustaining extremely high patient care standards. Iran’s Razavi Hospital is the 2nd in the world with the ACI platinum level of excellence after Slovenia and the first in the ME region.

United Nations representative in Tehran Gary Lewis talked about the importance of this event and the benefits that Razavi Hospital provides for the whole Middle East region.

Close to 8% of Razavi Hospital’s patients come from Asian and European countries and also from the US, because of its highly skilled staff of surgeons, specialists and low costs. Iran’s VP for Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization also talked to Press TV.

The hospital is equipped with a state of the art Cardiac ward, Cardiac Surgery ward, Plastic Surgery ward, Radiology, Laboratory, IVF and also Check-up Clinic.
