New Philippine Health and Wellness Travel Guide Launched
Medical Tourism in the Philippines gets a boost with the release of Phillipines: The Heart of Asia, the latest edition of the Philippines’ official medical and wellness travel guide and directory.
Published by HIM Communications and HealthCORE, Philippines: The Heart of Asia is a comprehensive guide to the country’s health and wellness tourism providers.
The 2010 edition is an up-to-date guide to topnotch hospitals, clinics and spas in the Philippines where patients can experience world-class services and treatments. A listing of hotels, resorts, medical concierges, embassies and tourism offices, as well medical travel tips and city maps, are also included to help patients and their companions during their stay.
The publication of the travel guide has been timely, with the country becoming more popular as a healthcare destination among patients around the world. An increasing number of international patients are arriving in the Philippines to seek high-quality medical care from world-class doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who are naturally warm, friendly, caring and compassionate.
From simple aesthetic and dental procedures to complex specialty areas such as oncology, cardiology and stem cell therapy, from rejuvenating spa treatments to long-term healthcare and retirement, the Philippines offers a wide range of services at a cost 50% to 80% lower compared to those in the US and Europe.
HIM Communications and HealthCORE have thus teamed up to create a guide for those who are on a journey to total health and wellness.
“Philippines: The Heart of Asia provides a wealth of information, suitable for people contemplating about seeking treatment or have already decided to be a medical traveler in the Philippines. Through this handy volume, we are one step closer to bringing international patients to what has often been referred to as the Heart of the Asia,” said Editor-in-Chief Joyce Alumno.
Philippines: The Heart of Asia also features a special section on the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS). Patients considering aesthetic treatments and cosmetic procedures can refer to the directory of members of PDS, the Philippines’
only specialty society for dermatology recognized by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA).
Meant for both the seasoned and the first-time traveler, the directory is a valuable resource that will let people discover and navigate the Philippines as a global healthcare destination. It is also accessible through the website
www.philippinesheartofasia.ph.
In celebration of October being the National Health and Wellness Tourism Month, HIM is giving away limited copies of Philippines: The Heart of Asia. For information on how to get a copy, please call (+632) 910.8030, 468.9999, 637.2073, or email info@himcommunications.com
